Teen Poster Art Contest

Teen Poster Art Contest

New Carlisle-Olive Township Public Library is hosting a Poster Art Contest for students in grades 5-12. Entries are due by Friday, January 31 at 5 pm EST. You may drop off entries at the New Carlisle-Olive Township Public Library or email them to questions@ncpl.lib.in.us

Prizes have been donated by the New Carlisle-Olive Township Friends of the Library.

Prompt:

  1. Your poster needs to relate in some way to the Library, which may include reading, creating, gathering with others at Library events, or learning something new.
  2. You can interpret the prompt in any way that makes sense to you! Here are some ideas to get you started:
    1. Illustrate an imaginary library: With a digital design tool or a printmaking technique of your choice, illustrate a fantasy library, like one that could only exist in a fairy tale.
    2. Depict a reading memory: Depict a favorite reading memory with your preferred medium. This can include any combination of literal and abstract elements.
    3. Create comic art: Create a short comic depicting someone discovering the power of reading or enjoying gathering with others at the library.
